Definition -One True Media is a website designed for easily creating and sharing your own videos. Brief History -One True Media was created by Mark Moore and John Love in January 2005. They created the website to help people easily edit and share their videos.

- create learning resource video clips (for use by students or the professional development of staff)
- prepare educational segments on safety issues (e.g. on roads, in playground, at home)

Resources for Future Learning - There are many software programs available on the Internet. While some cost money, others are free!

LoiLo provides free downloads of video editing software software. An instructional video is included below. There are also written instructions along with pictures to help explain how to use the software on the website

Other website have programs available that do not require downloading software. Before allowing students to use the website be sure to review the site, paying attention to videos posted on main pages. Unapproved videos may be posted on some sites!!! These programs are for public use and videos are not censored.

Jumpcut allows students to create their own videos or remix a video. Remixing can help students become familiar with the software without having to upload any pictures or videos.

One True Media is user friendly and offers some features for free. A premium upgrade is available for purchase, but is not required. Videos can be posted to YouTube, myspace and facebook. A link for videos can also be sent via e-mail and viewers can post comments. DVD are available for purchase, but there is no cost for students, parents or teachers to create, view or share on the Internet!
